About me
My name is Corey Ferris and I’m a native of Lake Mills, WI. I have always been into media creation from my time as a freshman in High School shooting highlight videos for my football, basketball, and soccer teams. I got my technical degree from Madison College and started working with Madison City Channel as a Production Assistant. From there I transitioned to working for Morgan Murphy Media which houses the CBS affiliate in Madison and produces the news for the Fox affiliate as well. During my time there I did everything from Master Control operations to field photographer that ran the microwave trucks.
I elected to leave my position at the end of 2019 to finish my bachelor’s degree the following Fall at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. I started 2020 off at Exact Sciences in Madison, where I eventually became an Assistant Lab Lead during the pandemic. When I finally left in August of 2021, it was right into Whitewater.
At Whitewater, I became a radio host at 91.7 The Edge and produced & directed many of my own shows on UWW-TV. Directed and ran cameras for multiple live sporting events. I was also placed on the Whitewater Football team to create hype videos. Another group I worked with was the Whitewater Advertising Association where I oversaw the work with a client and created and distributed content for them in the form of podcasts, video shorts, and created various other media for promotions.
While at Whitewater, I maintained a dean’s list GPA, was the Communications Colleges’ Integrity Award winner 22/23, was named the ‘Best Student’ in the field of Electronic Media, and won a WBA for Inside Warhawk Sports.
